A pottery maker created his house the way he liked it: A typical house with natural colors of the building materials and different tints of terracotta.
His son wanted a modern house but with the qualities that his father had recognised in that piece of orange tree farm.
The context was created from the farm and the old pottery furnace that needed protection.
The old storage houses were transformed into a protective environment for the furnace and various areas of interest were created around the main house painted exclusively with tints of grey.
A patio was created to get the inhabitant above the orange treetops so as to enjoy a nice view of Mount Taygetos and the summer breeze of he area.
​In that way the surroundings play the role they were meant to and the house itself becomes an island built in the farm.
